Green Tea and Anti-Aging
November 5, 2009 by Jo
Researchers have found green tea polyphenols also absorb both UVA and UVB rays and increase fibroblast cell proliferation. Fibroblasts in our skin decline in numbers with age and with exposure to UV radiation.
A study performed by the Shangai Normal University concluded – “This indicated that a combination of TPS (green tea polysacchrides) and TFP ( green tea polyphenols) would be a favourable possibility for protecting skin ansd especially good for good moisture retention ability and fibroblast proliferation with strong UV absorbance of TFP.”
Skinsaviour moisturisers for men and women include green tea – additional sun screen must also be worn.
