Cumulative Exposure to Chemicals

Sweden’s Environmental Authority is investigating the cumulative effect of suspected endocrine disruptors, in particular parabens and phthlates.
Daily use of cosmetics and sunscreens that often contain these can add to the load of chemicals absorbed by the body.
Most chemical testing in the past has only studied single high dose exposure and not the cumulative toxic build up effect.
A workshop was held on endocrine disruptors in Denmark, 2009 and their report states:
“Their main conclusion is that the current concept for risk assessment of chemicals is insufficient to test against the possibility of combination effects..”
Skinsaviour products available atĀ www.skinsaviour.com.au have noneĀ of these suspected ingredients in their formulas.
